Current Vacancies:

  • We are looking for a Contractor Massage Therapist who is passionate about providing the highest quality massage therapy services. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced in various massage techniques, possess excellent customer service skills, and be able to work independently. This position requires a professional attitude and the ability to create a relaxing atmosphere for our clients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide professional massage therapy services to clients

    • Discuss client needs and preferences before each session

    • Utilize various massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, or sports massage

    • Promote health and wellness through education on topics such as posture and stretching exercises

    • Maintain accurate records of client treatments

    • Clean treatment rooms after each session

    • Check-in and check-out our clients

    Requirements:

    • Valid KY state massage therapy license

    • At least 1 year experience in providing massage therapy services, recent graduates are encourage to apply

    • Knowledge of various massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage

    • Excellent customer service skills

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (Hours 3:00-8:00pm and weekends)

    • Trust-worthy and high integrity

    • Background check requires

    Job Type: Contract

    Salary: $37.00 - $59.00 per hour before gratuity

About the Founder

Hi there, I am Barinda - the founder and owner of Lalai Spa.

I was born and raised in Thailand - and massage is part of our Thai way of life. I remember as a child, I was requested to walk on my mom's back and legs. Thai massage has been part of our traditional medicine practice over the centuries.

  • As I grew up in Thailand, I have a privilege of first hand understanding and to taste the deep root of Traditional Thai massage and bodywork. I was also a massage enthusiast myself before I became a licensed massage therapist. 

    With encouragement from my husband then fiancé to pursue a certification in Thai massage and Spa before we moved to Kentucky. I enrolled in a massage school at Wat Pho Traditional Medicine and Massage Institute in Bangkok, Thailand in 2007.

    The same year, I moved to Kentucky and became a licensed massage therapist in Kentucky in 2008. I was employed by 3 different AVEDA lifestyle salons in Shelbyville and Louisville, KY for 16 years before I opened Lalai Day Spa on March 1st, 2022. I deliver world class massage and spa services from the best of the East meets West to your door steps!

    My specialty and massage practice are Traditional Thai Massage and combination of Swedish and deep tissue massage with special techniques in Thai stretching, trigger points release, sports massage, myofascial release, and active isolated stretching. Sometimes I walk on my patient’s back (with their permission or request by them).

    I challenged myself and participated in the 1st KY Massage Championship in October 2023. I won a silver medal in the Freestyle Eastern Massage category, a bronze medal in the Swedish Massage category, and a bronze medal in the Overall Message Championship. My goal is to challenge myself to compete at the American Massage Championship and the World Massage Championship in Copenhagen, Denmark in the near future.

    My primary goal of practice is to deliver a variety of massage techniques for a specific treatment curated to target problems the patients present with a diagnosis from medical or non-medical professionals for specific outcomes. At the same time, delivery and promote relaxation and de-stressing experience during the session and ensure that their expectations are met. My signature massage therapy features gentle flowing movements blended with deep pressure, trigger points release, stretching techniques that are designed to release tension, pain relief, and promote circulation in areas that need special attention. With love, care, and empathy as my secret ingredients, I bring blissful massages to ease your body and soul. Let's unwind and melt together!
